Apple Pay is an ideal payment method. It is contactless, safe and easy, and can be used on different devices (iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, and Mac) which you use every day. Your card data is safe because it is not stored on the device or shared when you make a payment.
Any store that allows contactless payment also allows the Apple Pay option with Zagrebačka banka cards. Find the contactless payment symbol and enjoy your shopping!

The Apple Pay service is not a Bank product, but rather an iOS platform which enables an additional contactless payment method with an Apple devices (iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad and Mac) to Zaba clients, as well as a fast, simple, and safe payment transaction method.

The service uses the NFC technology principle for contactless payments.

In mobile device settings, the client has to choose one of the following methods for unlocking the mobile device screen: password, pattern, fingerprint or face scanning. If the security check for unlocking the mobile device has not been set, Apple Pay cannot be activated.

The Apple Pay service can be used on a phone with iOS operating system, version 8.1 or higher. This version includes the following devices: iPhone 6, iPad mini 3, iPad Pro, Apple Watch 1 and all new phone, tablet and watch models.
You can use the Apple Pay service via Apple Watch on your mobile devices iPhone 5 and 5c.

Apple Pay is currently available for:

  • Debit cards for current accounts in euro
  • Debit cards for giro accounts in euro
  • Debit cards for multi-currency accounts
  • Standard Mastercard credit cards
  • Gold Mastercard credit cards
  • Platinum Mastercard credit cards
  • go!card Mastercard credit cards

Yes, it can. One client can add their card to Apple Wallet on several mobile devices. When registering a payment card in a mobile device, it will be tokenized (the card number is replaced by a unique identifier - token), which further increases the security aspect of the overall service.

Depending on the device, you can add from eight to twelve cards to Apple Wallet on one device. You can add up to twelve cards on iPhone 8, Apple Watch Series 3 and all later models, whereas you can add up to eight cards on older models.
In that case, you have to choose which card will be the main one for payment in your mobile device settings. Settings → Wallet and Apple Pay → Standard card.

No, PIN which is connected with the physical card is never used as an authentication method when making payments with Apple Pay. Apple Pay payments are always authenticated with one of the set methods for unlocking the mobile device screen (password, pattern, fingerprint or face scanning).

In that case, the card is automatically deleted from Apple Wallet. If they want to use the Apple Pay service again, the client has to enter the card into Apple Wallet as they did for the first card registration.

Yes, because payment card data are tokenized. Token is unique per device and it cannot be connected with the actual payment card data. Actual payment card data are never exchanged in a payment, which prevents fraud or misuse.

In case of loss, theft or misuse of a device with the Apple Pay service, the cardholder must immediately inform the Bank about the theft, loss or misuse of the electronic device with the installed digital wallet app with a registered virtual card and about the knowledge or doubt that an unauthorized person has found the password or pattern used for unlocking the device screen, or about the knowledge that an unauthorized person has had access to the digital wallet or electronic device with the installed digital wallet app.
